Mission & Vision

  • Mission: To bring hope, support, and empowerment to underserved families, children, and seniors through community outreach, education, and resource distribution.

Organizational Background

  • Founded in 2006, MHOC has served the Dallas community for nearly two decades.

  • Recognized as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3).

  • Programs include:

    • Back-to-School Drives: Providing school supplies and uniforms to children.

    • Holiday Toy & Food Deliveries: Supporting foster youth and seniors.

    • Suicide Awareness & Prevention Campaigns: Offering resources and raising awareness.

    • Breast Cancer Walks & Health Initiatives: Promoting wellness and community support.

    • Partnerships with Agencies & Senior Homes: Extending outreach through collaborative service.

Project Description

Project Title: “Hope in Action: Expanding Outreach for Families, Seniors & Children”

Goals & Objectives:

  1. Expand delivery programs to reach at least 500 foster children and 300 seniors annually with gifts, food, and wellness resources.

  2. Host quarterly community events (health fairs, awareness campaigns, mentorship sessions).

  3. Develop a volunteer training program to engage at least 50 community volunteers per year.

  4. Launch a resource center hub with workshops on financial literacy, parenting support, and youth leadership.

Activities & Methods:

  • Strengthen partnerships with local foster agencies and senior homes.

  • Recruit volunteers through schools, sororities/fraternities, and businesses.

  • Secure toy, food, and clothing donations for year-round distribution.

  • Implement evaluation surveys to track program effectiveness.
